Hong Kong Toys & Baby Fair Recap: Five Trends We Saw on the Floor

Our team spent three days walking the Hong Kong Toys & Baby Fair, meeting buyers and watching what competitors put on their stands. Five trends stood out for the ride-on category.

1. Two-Seaters Are Everywhere

Almost every factory showed a 24V two-seater. Shared rides command higher prices, and families with two children buy one instead of two.

2. Farm and Utility Themes Grew

Tractors, UTVs and farm-themed models expanded from niche to mainstream, especially for markets with outdoor space.

3. Remote Control Is Standard, Not Premium

Parental remote control, once an upsell, is now expected on anything above 6V.

4. Certificación Talk Moved Earlier

Buyers asked for test reports before prices — a reversal from previous years and a healthy one for the trade.

5. Fair Orders Are Shorter and Faster

Order sizes are smaller but reorder cycles are tighter. Factories with flexible lines left the fair with more signed intent sheets than those quoting only bulk MOQs.
