How OEM Customization Works for Ride-On Toys: A Factory Guide

Every importer eventually asks: 'Can you make it in my colors with my logo?' The answer is almost always yes — but the process has more steps than most buyers expect. Here is the honest OEM timeline we use at CT TOYS.

Step 1: Brief and Reference

Send your target model, colors, logo files and any function requests. The more concrete the brief, the faster the quote. A single product photo of a similar ride-on is often enough to start.

Step 2: Quote and Tooling (3-10 days)

For color and decal changes, expect a quote within 3-5 days with no tooling fee. For new body molds, tooling takes 20-35 days and is usually amortized into the unit price over your first order.

Step 3: Sample Approval (15-20 days)

We build a pre-production sample for your sign-off. This is the most important checkpoint — check colors, logo placement, stickers and packaging before we commit to bulk.

Step 4: Mass Production and QC

Bulk production runs 25-45 days with inline and final inspection. We share photos and video updates at each stage, and third-party inspection is welcome before loading.

What to Prepare

Have your logo in vector format (AI/SVG), your color codes (PMS or hex), and your target retail price. This lets the factory recommend the right platform and options the first time.
